Cutting a night in half and positioning ourselves in its middle so as to access a landscape through its fragmented half. MEIA NOITE / HALF NIGHT is an exercise in nocturnal vision and a celebration of fictions created in blindness. Opaque dark windows interrupt the serene quietness of an oil painting and disrupt the clear perception of space and perspective. A framed x-ray within the image offers the possibility of a different light. As a result of the dissolution, correction, and juxtaposition of elements within the composition, what remains of an image are fragments of its destruction, faraway from the middle, but perhaps the only image that is possible tonight.
